Poetry

Read out on the Lifeboat Hour yesterday. Unfortunately, due to the PRN website being out-of-action, I am unable to post yesterday's excellent show.

A Moment of Silence

Years pass and nature stands silent
Compliant
Taking lash after lash
Like a mentally retarded child
Beaten without comprehension of why
I hope if there is consciousness in the universe
It will ask for a moment of silence
Just one eternity
No more
In memory of nature’s unwavering sacrifice
To humanity
To every theft and lie
