A huge tidal wave slammed into a sea wall injuring over 30 people in eastern China.

Typhoon Trami triggered a 60ft surge of water that smashed through coastal defences devastating the coastline.

The eastern Zhejiang Province was battered by heavy rain and winds of up to 80mph yesterday.

But as spectators gathered to record the damage, the nearby wall they were using for cover was smashed by the crashing impact of the wave.

Soon after, ambulances arrived to pick up the injured and transport them to the nearest hospital.

The typhoon also forced over 400,000 people to be evacuated from their homes and it is estimated that it caused 405 million yuan (around £40million) worth of damage.

Fire spreads to California's Yosemite National Park

A wildfire raging in Northern California burned into Yosemite National Park on Friday (August 23), as the blaze threatened one of the state's most popular tourist destinations and resisted firefighters' efforts to control it.

The so-called Rim Fire exploded in size to become the fastest-growing of 50 large wildfires burning in the U.S. West and had blackened 11,000 acres at the northeastern edge of Yosemite as of Friday.
